Help Shape the Next Generation of Business Leadership in Central York!
Central York Chamber is now accepting applications for members interested in joining the CY Next Committee — a member-led initiative designed to support, connect, and engage business leaders under the age of 40 across Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, and the broader Central York business community.
CY Next is built for the next generation of professionals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders who want to grow their network, strengthen their leadership skills, contribute fresh ideas, and help shape meaningful programming within the Chamber.

Committee Term: 1 year Term
About the CY Next Committee
The CY Next Committee will help guide and support programming, events, engagement opportunities, and member-focused initiatives for business leaders under 40 within the Central York Chamber network.
Committee members will act as ambassadors for CY Next by helping build awareness, encouraging participation, supporting events, and identifying opportunities to better connect emerging leaders with the local business community.
Who Should Apply?
Central York Chamber members are encouraged to apply if they are:
- Under the age of 40
- A current Central York Chamber member, or representative of a current member organization
- Interested in building stronger business and professional connections
- Looking to support young professionals and emerging leaders
- Interested in contributing ideas for events, programming, and engagement
- Ready to take a more active role within the Central York business community
Committee Commitment
CY Next Committee members are expected to actively participate throughout the committee term. At minimum, members should be prepared to:
- Attend committee meetings on a regular basis
- Support the planning and promotion of CY Next programming and events
- Attend and participate in CY Next events when available
- Act as a positive representative of Central York Chamber
- Share ideas, feedback, and connections that support the goals of the committee
- Help encourage engagement from other members and business leaders under 40
Committee meetings are expected to take place approximately six times per year, with additional support required around CY Next events, initiatives, or recruitment periods.
Length of Term
Committee members will serve a one-year term, with the opportunity to reapply or continue based on committee needs, member interest, and Chamber approval.
The inaugural CY Next Committee will help establish the foundation, tone, and future direction of the program.
