This post is an especially tough one. After four incredible years, Chris Emanuel is hanging up his hat as President and CEO of the Central York Chamber and moving on to an incredible new chapter. A brilliant leader, Chris is also kind, funny, and truly the very best boss anyone could ever …hope to have. Under his guidance, we’ve taken the CYC to new heights of innovation and growth. We’ve accomplished so much, including becoming the Central York Chamber, the result of a merger between the Newmarket and East Gwillimbury chambers of commerce. We launched SHIFT and introduced a new strategic vision which continues to guide our mission and impact. And thanks to Chris we have a welcoming and great-looking office that now reflects the energy and professionalism of the organization he helped shape. Chris won’t be going too far, joining the Town of Newmarket’s Economic Development team next month. Look for updates on transition plans soon, including our process for hiring a new CEO. Thank you, Chris. To say you will be missed is a deep understatement.
